This is the last chat for the 2017–18 school year

Hello, P2P Investors! Please join us for a special #P2Pchat Monday, May 7 at 8 p.m. This will be our last chat of the school year and it’s going to be amazing.

Our moderators for this month’s chat are Courtney De Leon (District Secondary Teacher of the Year) and Emily Beno (District Elementary Teacher of the Year). Courtney and Emily have come up with some fantastic questions. We’ve also invited all our campus teachers of the year to assist us. It’s going to be a great chat!

In case you aren’t aware, #P2Pchat is Klein ISD’s monthly Twitter chat where we discuss a specific education topic. This upcoming chat will focus on teachers and the moments they create. We’d love to have you join us.

Here are some helpful resources to get you started if you’re new to Twitter or Twitter chats.

Below you’ll find the discussion questions for Monday’s chat. Special thanks to our chat moderators for coming up with the questions. Hope to see you all in the chat Monday!

May 2018 #P2Pchat Discussion Questions

Q1: The impact of a great teacher is one that ripples through time forever. Tell us a story about a teacher you’ve had that made a positive impact on your life.

Q2: Our High-Quality Teaching guiding document states that we must be “intentionally personalized by thoughtfully tailoring learning for each student’s strengths, needs, and passions.” What is a moment you’ve created for a student that was intentionally personalized?

Q3: So many times what keeps us going as educators are the small moments of success we encounter. What is a moment of success you’ve had this school year as an educator?

Q4: Sometimes the best lessons happen when we throw out our plans and seize a teachable moment as it happens in the classroom. What teachable moments have you seized?

Q5: Reflect on what worked this year and what hasn’t. What risks can you take next year toward intentionally personalizing lessons for students that may help lead to higher engagement and success in the classroom?

Q6: Of all the phenomenal moments you’ve had with your students this year, which one stands? Which one inspires you to know each student by name, strength, and passion?
