New Leader Named Klein ISD District Secondary Principal of the Year
Following in the footsteps of a legend, Jessica Haddox has made her mark on Klein High School
Klein High School’s Principal, Jessica Haddox acknowledges she has big shoes to fill, but in her second year at the campus, she has been named the District Secondary Principal of the Year.
“I really love high school kids because it’s that last stop in their education where you can make that difference, where you can inspire them, where you can work with them to show them the way,” said Haddox.
Haddox previously served as an assistant principal at Klein High School and understands the kids and the culture. Her passion for education is evident among her peers and the students. She launched the new school year with core values that students are living every day.
“From a school that has so many rich traditions, her leadership in trying to rebuild our culture here has been outstanding,” said Klein High Orchestra teacher Creston Herron. “The positive energy that she brings to the job, it makes me want to work harder. We are fortunate to have her here.”
She says that she couldn’t be a successful leader without the help of her administrative staff and the work that her amazing teachers are doing in their classrooms every day to prepare every student for their purpose. Their mission is that “together we make a difference,” and together they make decisions by asking themselves what’s best for kids. Haddox says that’s what guides everything.
“She’s pretty on the outside and on the inside, and I think everyone notices that every day as they are walking through the halls and they know if Ms. Haddox is having a good day then I can have a good day too,” said Klein High senior, Kate Lonon.
