Advanced Academics is excited to welcome you to another school year, ripe with opportunities to challenge our K-12 learners’ minds and help them grow beyond their expectations! Through the work of the GT Guiding Coalition, our department has set a goal to identify students in Klein ISD who require challenging, differentiated instruction beyond the general classroom experience. Is there a student or two whom you feel showed advanced cognitive ability, extraordinary creativity, or surprising critical thinking in your class last year? Please refer them for GT testing. Teachers can recommend last year’s students for testing by using this form: https://goo.gl/N1g5vh
The referral window for parents opens on Monday, August 27th and closes September 21st, 2018 (see full calendar). The link for parents to give permission to test will be posted on campus and district websites during that window. If any of your new students show potential for advanced ability, please refer their parents to that link. Should you have any questions, please contact your campus GT Advocate, GT administrator, or Advanced Academics Program Coordinator.
