Reimagine Learning Summit
As the school year is coming in at a fast pace, professional development is well on it’s way in our district. New Employee Onboarding saw around 450 new employees learning about district vision and coalitions. T-TESS training sessions were conducted for teachers to learn about our appraisal systems and be apart of their evaluation dialogue. Our content areas and multilingual wrapped up their last few conferences and sessions.
On August 13th, an exciting, district-wide professional learning opportunity called the Reimagine Learning Summit will take place. Five thousand teachers and administrators will visit four high school campuses to further their knowledge about the 4 tenets of personalized learning. We will start our day with our keynote speaker, Tom Murray who currently leads Future Ready Schools and has received several awards including “2018 National/Global EdTech Leader of the Year” by EdTech Digest. Next, participants will head into the experiential sessions where they will view poster sessions with pertinent information including makerspace experiences nearby to get a peek into what personalized learning can look like on campus. The next four breakout sessions will include choice for all of the attendees as they choose which tenet and session they will go in the order they choose. We will close out the day with some of our Klein Talks students, who will showcase their speeches for every campus. We highly encourage carpooling as we will have between 1,000-2,000 attendees per campus. Additionally, every campus has lunch options if you don’t want to lose your parking spot.
