26 students from 14 campuses across the district participated in the Lone Star Leadership Academy camps this summer.
Klein ISD 4th-8th-grade students were among 1,120 outstanding students to participate as young leaders during this week-long camp. These students were nominated and selected based on demonstrated academic success and leadership ability, an educator recommendation, and involvement in school/community activities.
During these camps, students experienced what they are learning in school through visits to notable and historically significant Texas sites. The Academy experience provides a unique opportunity to learn about Texas leaders and discuss what they learn, complete problem solving and decision-making simulations, exercise creativity, and practice presentation skills in leadership groups.
Congratulations to these students on this exciting opportunity. Click here for a full list of schools and participants.
