One of the premises in family engagement is to build the capacity of the staff to effectively engage in meaningful partnerships with families. Klein ISD strives to provide high quality professional development in this area, and it is also developing a class in Schoology for all staff.
The Klein ISD Family Engagement Program follows the Dual Capacity Framework for Family-School Partnerships as the model to empower families from Promise2Purpose. This framework was developed by the United States Department of Education in collaboration with Harvard University. Harvard University offers a short online course for anyone interested in expanding the knowledge in this area.
