Klein in Space: We Need Volunteers


Klein ISD is going to Space! For our Fall 2018 Innovation Challenge, we were selected as one of the districts to participate in the Students Spaceflight Experiments Program (SSEP) Space Shuttle Competition. Students will learn, research, design, collaborate with experts, & submit a proposed experiment. One Klein ISD team will be chosen to watch their experiment LIFTOFF FROM CAPE CANAVERAL on it’s way to the INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION!

We are looking for volunteers to advise students during our innovation challenge, Klein In SpaceStudents will need assistance from consultants who have experience in the areas of:

  • Aerospace
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Biology
  • Medical
  • Technical Writing
  • Public Speaking
  • Other – Let us know if you would like to help in some other way!

There are two opportunities for assisting student teams:

  • On the Day of Design, Monday, October 22, 2018, where students will bring their proposal to the Klein Multipurpose Center to collaborate with consultants from our community.
  • Prior to the Day of Design as students conduct research and design their experiments (via phone, email, Skype, etc.)
