Harris County agencies including the Sheriff’s Office, Flood Control, and Engineering Department participated in Faces of Harris County hosted by Precinct 4, Commissioner Jack Cagle’s office on Friday, October 19. Nearly 200 Klein ISD students participating in Career & Technical Education pathways aligned to the all of the Precinct 4 agencies, spent the day at Lone Star College-University Park interacting with industry professionals and investigating internship and future career opportunities.

The students were able to visit with the departments and agencies and leave with information on internships and future careers.

“What this event means for our kids, is it’s an opportunity for them to explore careers that they may be interested in. Then also for those who may not know quite what they want to do after high school, it’s an opportunity to find that purpose or find that future career.”
Candice Vaughan, Criminal Justice Teacher, Klein High School

This event is just one of the ways Klein ISD is making Promise2Purpose a reality for EVERY student.
