Pack Your Bags–We’re Headed to Mars!
Innovation Challenge for Grades K-4
The next phase of Klein In Space is set to begin with the Packing for Mars Innovation Challenge for kindergarten through fourth grade students! During this challenge, students will use their creativity and problem solving skills to determine what their team would take to Mars in order to build a successful community once they have landed.
There’s only one catch…it all has to fit inside of one container!
Teams of 3-5 students will compete in two categories, grades K-1 and grades 2-4, and have the opportunity to collaborate with high school students. One winning team from each category, K-1 & 2-4, will be selected to present at a school board meeting and go on a field trip to Houston Space Center in Spring 2019!
To sign up your team(s) of pathway explorers, please fill out this form by November 6. You will receive information for accessing a Schoology course with all you need for assisting teams in this awesome challenge.
