The official results from the Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, election for three seats on the Klein ISD Board of Trustees confirm that Chris “CT” Todd, Julie Benes, and Ronnie K. Anderson were elected to Positions 3, 4, and 5 respectively.
Results were canvassed on Nov. 16, and the three trustees were sworn in shortly afterward. Trustees will be ceremoniously sworn in at the Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, Board of Trustees’ meeting at the Klein Multipurpose Center, 7500 FM 2920.
In Position 3, Bill Pilkington, who served two terms on the Board, did not seek re-election. Todd ran opposed receiving 22,078 votes (47.6%). He is the Pastor of Operations and COO of Champion Forest Baptist Church. Todd has spent most of his life living in Klein, attending Benfer, Strack and Klein Oak. He and his wife, Katie, live in Klein with their two children, who attend Klein Oak and Krimmel.
In Position 4, Benes received 17,925 votes (39.2%) defeating Steve Szymczak who has served on the Board since 2003. Benes is a lawyer in the Houston area. She has lived in Klein with her husband, Edward, and three children since 2014. Two of her children attend French Elementary and one attends Hofius Intermediate.
Anderson was unopposed and drew 40,831 votes (100%). He was first elected to the Board in 2009 and has been a resident of Klein since 1974. He is a Vice President at McGriff, Seibels & Williams. Anderson and his wife, Tracie, have two sons. Their oldest son is in college and their youngest son attends Klein High School.
