Family fun events and Klein in Space: 90 Seconds

This Saturday, December first is an exciting day in Klein ISD!

First is the Wunderlich Farm Old Fashioned Christmas Market from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Visitors will have the chance to get a glimpse of what life was like in the Klein area from decades gone by with activities like candle making and ragdoll crafts.  There will also be musical treats, as choirs perform throughout the day. The cost to get in is $2 and a canned food item.

December first is also the first ever P2P United Multicultural celebration held at Klein Cain High School from noon until 4 p.m. The event, presented by the Klein ISD English Learner Guiding Coalition and multilingual services, spotlights the rich diversity of our city, community, and district. Highlights of the day include musical and dance performances presented by students from across our district, art exhibits, face painting, games, story time, and much more! You’ll also be treated to many informative displays featuring cultures from around the world. Join us as we joyfully transform the world together!

On November 15th, Klein ISD students blasted off for the second part of our Klein in Space innovation challenge.  Student teams from kindergarten through 4th grade used their problem-solving skills to determine what they would take to Mars so they can successfully build a community when they arrive at the red planet. Thank you to the many Klein ISD educators and high school students who selflessly gave their time to mentor the student teams. The district winning teams, which will be announced in January, will present their design to our Board of Trustees and get a field trip to Space Center Houston!

Congratulations to our winning teams from Klein High and Klein Oak high schools, who won the upper division of Klein in Space and are moving to the next round.

Best of luck to Klein Oak High School in the football playoffs this weekend. Go get ’em, Panthers!
