Kuehnle Elementary celebrated Linda Farmer, retired Kuehnle music teacher, on November 29, 2018 at their annual Holiday Choir Program. The Kuenhle Performance Area was officially dedicated to Mrs. Linda Farmer. Klein ISD Superintendent, Dr. Bret Champion, and former Klein ISD Superintendent, Dr. Jim Cain, spoke and shared their words of appreciation for Mrs. Farmer’s outstanding work as Kuehnle Elementary’s music teacher. Mrs. Funk, Kuehnle Principal, shared Mrs. Farmer’s story about her years of service to Klein ISD.

Linda Farmer joined Klein ISD in August of 1983. She split her time between Northhampton Elementary and Haude Elementary. Linda transferred to Kuehnle Elementary when the school opened in August of 1989 and continued to teach music to the students of Kuehnle for 28 years. Linda touched the lives of every child who attended Kuehnle through her music, her dedication to education, and her love of Kuehnle Elementary. She wrote and directed student musical programs, Kuehnle Opening Day programs, programs for VIP luncheons, and programs for any other special event that was held at Kuehnle.

Mrs. Farmer’s choir membership was always among the largest and most dedicated in the district and she has been well respected by her peers. In addition to her 4th and 5th grade choir, Linda also directed Kuehnle’s hand bell choir, the men’s choir and an occasional faculty and staff choir.

Mrs. Farmer retired from teaching after the 2015-16 school year. Her love of music, love of her students and love of Kuehnle will be long remembered not at only Kuehnle, but throughout Klein ISD.
