PK-2: Standards-Based Grading Update
Attention all PK-2nd grade teachers: We have some important information for you regarding Standards-Based Grading and communicating with your students’ families.
The Teaching & Learning team has prepared the Quarter 3 at a Glance Weekly Communication Folder Inserts on Klein Quest. Checkout THIS LINK to see the updated sheets that should begin going home in every PK-2nd graders weekly folder when our students return from the holidays. Select your grade level, then scroll down to the Resources section of the page. You will see the link for the new Q3 tool and will be forced to Make a Copy. This allows you and your team to customize the communication sheet to fit your communication needs aligned to your classroom procedures. This tool is vital for all PK-2nd grade students to have in their weekly folder so their families can have a quick snapshot of how they are progressing through the grading quarter of each standard assessed.
Also, we have developed a quick three minute video that we ask you to view and then send home to your families. Here is THE VIDEO LINK that explains to families how to understand and read the Quarter at a Glance weekly folder sheet, along with how to view a printable version of their student’s report card in Family Access/Skyward. Our families are asking for this information to stay connected and informed with their child’s progress in school.
