JazzReach Coming to Klein!

JazzReach Coming to Klein!

Established in 1994, JazzReach is a nationally recognized New York City-based organization dedicated to the promotion, performance, creation and teaching of jazz music. Through the presentation of innovative, widely acclaimed live multi-media educational programs for young audiences, captivating main-stage concerts for general audiences and informative clinics and master-classes for student musicians and ensembles, JazzReach fosters a greater appreciation, awareness and understanding of this rich, vital, uniquely American art form.

Cypress Creek Foundation for the Arts and Community Enrichment (FACE) has made it possible for JazzReach to come to Klein ISD. The Metta Quintet will be working with Klein Collins and Klein Oak jazz bands and presenting interactive programs at Mueller, French and Metzler Elementary schools. Klein Oak jazz band, under the direction of Jeremy Figlewicz, will participate in a master class clinic with the JazzReach Metta Quintet. Klein Collins jazz ensemble, under the director of Kristina LaMarca, will join several combined rehearsals with the Metta Quintet, culminating in a joint concert on Thursday, February 28th, in the Klein Collins auditorium at 7:00pm. The concert is FREE and promises to be an exciting celebration of American music.
