Klein Oak’s One Act Play, Children of a Lesser God, made it to Region UIL competition. As the alternate play, the troupe will not be going to state, but they will be presenting one more encore performance on Thursday, April 25th at 6:30 pm in the Klein Oak Auditorium.
The show is profound and very moving. The play chronicles the tumultuous relationship and marriage between a deaf woman and a hearing speech teacher. The Klein Oak drama students learned and became fluent in American Sign Language to portray the characters. Throughout the different levels of competition, the show and its cast and crew earned numerous awards.
