Welcome back to the 2019-2020 school year! As you start your year off in Schoology, the following tips will help you get organized and personalize your Schoology courses.

Picture Tiles

Customizing the profile images for your courses can make your course visually appealing and help students to quickly find it. Below are the steps to set a profile picture in a course.

  • Navigate to the desired course
  • Hover over the image in the top left and click Edit Picture
  • Select one of the preset images or click Attach File to select and upload an image from your device

What is the ideal image size for uploading a picture? Look at the picture below. Which side looks more visually appealing? The one on the right or the left?By using this template, you can create the PERFECT image in Schoology every time! Access this folder for some already created images that you can use in your courses. Simply download the images to your computer to use.

Linking Courses

Linking courses is a great way to manage all sections of a course more efficiently. Linked sections share the same materials and grade setup. Courses should be linked before setting up your gradebook and adding course materials. Course admins must be the same for all sections to be linked together. Step by step instructions for linking your courses can be found here
