As we approach another election season, it’s essential to prepare and acknowledge the importance of this right and responsibility. When we vote, we share our hearts, minds, and priorities with the officials who represent EVERY. We want our staff to feel ready and confident to vote, so please take a look at the information below.
How do I register to vote?
In order to vote in Texas, you must be registered. Simply pick up a voter registration application, fill it out, and mail it at least 30 days before the election date. Get your application here. You must register to vote by Monday, October 7.
I don’t know if I’m registered to vote.
Find out if you are already registered. You may use one of three methods to perform a search:
- Your Texas driver’s license number, if you provided it when you applied for voter registration;
- Your Voter Unique Identifier (VUID), which appears on your voter registration certificate;
- Your first and last name.
Am I still registered to vote if I’ve moved or changed my last name since I last voted?
VoteTexas.gov provides guidelines to find out if you are still registered to vote if you’ve changed something since the last time you voted. Simply visit the Did You Change Something? page and find the situation that applies to you.
Klein ISD has an upcoming school board election on November 5 for positions 6 and 7. In order to vote in this election, as well as the November 5 Uniform Election, you must register to vote by Monday, October 7, 2019.
