NASA High School Aerospace Scholars Application Open

NASA High School Aerospace Scholars Application Open

Calling all STEM fanatics! The NASA High School Aerospace Scholars application is open now through October 23.

HAS is an authentic learning experience for Texas high school juniors to engage with NASA’s mission to become the next generation of explorers. Students first complete an online curriculum in exploration and discovery with virtual guidance from NASA engineers. This is an opportunity to learn about different STEM-related fields of study students might want to pursue in college. Following the online lessons, the highest achieving students will be invited to an all-expenses-paid, week-long visit to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston during the summer. Selected participants will plan a mission to Mars while being mentored and receiving guidance from NASA scientists and engineers. Both the online and onsite portions are FREE to participants.

Last year, Irissa Machetta from Klein Collins was chosen to participate in the Aerospace Scholars Program, and her experience was out-of-this-world! We would love to see more rising Klein ISD students represent our district’s STEM initiative in this unique program.

For more information and to apply, visit the NASA HAS website.
