Klein ISD Board of Trustees Adopts Lowest Tax Rate in 9 Years

Homeowners in Klein ISD will notice a five percent decrease in their school tax rate when they receive their tax statements in November.

In August, the Klein ISD Board of Trustees adopted the lowest tax rate in nine years.

“We are so pleased that we’ve been able to lower the tax rate in Klein ISD and still meet the needs of all of our students and all of our Klein community,” Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said.

The tax rate is $1.36 per $100 valuation: $0.97 per $100 valuation for maintenance and operations and $0.39 per $100 valuation for the interest and sinking fund, which pays for bond indebtedness.
