Klein ISD Education Foundation Awards $56,650 in Educator Grants

Klein ISD Education Foundation Awards $56,650 in Educator Grants

Our wonderful Klein ISD Education Foundation, community members, and Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown climbed aboard the Celebration Express on December 4 to deliver big checks and even bigger smiles to grant recipients across the district. The Klein ISD Education Foundation accepts grant applications twice a year to encourage, facilitate, and recognize creative projects that lead to academic achievement for our Klein ISD students.

“It’s always a great way to spend the day as we truly make educators’ dreams come true here in Klein ISD,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “Thank you to the Klein ISD Education Foundation and all of our generous grant sponsors for making today possible.”

This fall, the Celebration Express delivered grants totaling $56,650 that will bring education to life for our learners in a variety of ways. These grants were made possible by the record-breaking A.K. Buddy Brown Klein ISD Education Foundation Golf Classic and the support of numerous loyal community partners.

My heart is full of gratitude and respect for the Klein ISD Education Foundation Board of Directors and the educators across our district who go above and beyond to create innovative grant ideas to further benefit learning opportunities for students,” Klein ISD Education Foundation Director Cindy Doyle said. “It was just another great day here in Klein ISD.”

For the first time, Texas Representative Sam Harless, District 126 joined the fun-filled festivities of the Celebration Express, noisemaker in hand. Mr. Harless’ wife, Patricia, sits on the Klein ISD Education Foundation Board of Directors.

“It’s such an honor to be here with the Klein Education Foundation and be able to participate in such a great day,” Rep. Sam Harless said.
