Celebrating School Board Recognition Month in Klein ISD

Each year, we have the privilege of celebrating our wonderful Klein ISD Board of Trustees members during School Board Recognition Month! The members of the Klein ISD Board of Trustees generously volunteer their time and serve an essential and unique role in our schools, district, and community.

That’s right, our dedicated school board members are locally elected community volunteers who receive no pay and work to set policies, contracts, and budgets that affect our students, teachers, faculty, and staff to ensure the good of the district.

“In Klein ISD, we are so fortunate to have school board members who care deeply and genuinely about every student,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “Our students’ success in fulfilling their purpose is truly at the center of every decision they make.”

In the last year, the Klein ISD Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Klein Leadership Coalition to advocate for our students, our schools, and our community; approved a historic compensation package for all Klein ISD employees and staff; and adopted the lowest tax rate in nine years. That’s just to name a few!

Join us this month as we recognize these caring individuals who dedicate their valuable time to launching EVERY student – from our littlest learners to our graduating seniors – into their futures.
