Klein Visual Art Students Lasso Big Results in Rodeo School Art!

The 2020 Rodeo School Art auction awards ceremony was held on February 16th at NRG. The School Art Committee announced the top 72 pieces of artwork for 2020. Klein ISD students have a record number of four 2D pieces that have been selected for auction!

Trinity Leger’s artwork, Heritage and Heartstrings is Lot #56. Trinity attends Klein Collins and Mike Hall is her art teacher. Lonestar Cowboy, by Maya Podoval, from Klein Cain, art teacher Marisa Marsico, is Lot #48. Soyeong (Ria) Kang’s artwork, Texas Longhorn, is Lot #42. Ria attends Klein High School and her art teacher is Dee Burgess. Madison Gilbert’s artwork, Safe in My Arms, earned Class Champion in Colored Pencil and will be auctioned off at Lot #5. Madison is from Klein Collins and her art teacher is Leah McWhorter. Madison’s artwork is the lowest lot number for a colored pencil drawing in Klein’s history.

The auction will be held at NRG on March 15th, starting at high noon. All rodeo award recipients and photos of the artwork can be viewed HERE.
