Update #11 – Klein ISD COVID-19

During the suspension of normal school operations, Klein ISD continues to support our families and community. We are actively monitoring the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in conjunction with local and federal health authorities.  

In this update, you’ll find additional information regarding:

  • Prescription medication retrieval
  • Senior Class of 2020
  • Klein ISD COVID-19 Update #12 will be shared by 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 19

Prescription Medication and Medical Supplies

Families who have children with prescription medication and/or medical supplies will receive instructions from your campus nurse on how to retrieve those items. Families can expect a phone call from the nurse either today (3/18) or tomorrow (3/19).

Senior Class of 2020

We know that the students and families of the graduating Class of 2020 may be anxious about how this suspension of normal district operations will impact the remainder of senior year. We have received questions regarding proms and graduation. As of today, March 18, proms and graduation ceremonies HAVE NOT been postponed or canceled. We will keep you updated if there are any changes.

Should you have specific questions about anything related to COVID-19 for Klein ISD, for the quickest response and instead of emailing individuals, please use the contact form located at This form is monitored frequently and responses are provided regularly from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. weekdays. 

While the district is closed, Klein ISD emergency and essential personnel for this evolving situation continue to consult with local health authorities and to convene virtually and regularly in order to conduct a full and ongoing assessment of risks for students and staff. As always, the safety of our students, staff, and families remains a top priority, and we will act out of an abundance of caution to protect everyone’s health and wellbeing.
