Update #13 – Klein ISD COVID-19

We are working hard to support our students in preparation for at-home learning. In this update, you’ll find information regarding:

  • Student technology help desk
  • Reminder: Free Internet service for low-income families & Klein expanded WiFI access
  • Student technology device request

Student technology help desk

If you are having issues with your Klein ISD-issued device, please fill out this form and a tech will contact you for support.

Reminder: Free Internet service for low-income families available & Klein WiFi access expanded

We recently shared two resources for families to gain access to the Internet at home. Please see our resources below if you missed those releases:

Student technology device request

The week of March 23, Klein ISD will open curbside technology pickup at varying locations across the District to issue equipment such as laptops, Chromebooks, and battery chargers to students who do not already have them. The limit for checkout is one device per actively enrolled Klein ISD family with no technology device currently available for at-home learning. A Klein ISD student must be present at the time of issuing the device, and student ID numbers will be verified in advance of pick-up to ensure the student is currently enrolled in Klein ISD.

Please submit your request as soon as possible as devices will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. You will receive a confirmation email and instructions on next steps once your form has been received.

PLEASE NOTE: This effort is being made for students with no technology device available for at-home learning. High school and intermediate students should use their district-issued device. If your family already has a device at home, please do not request a Klein ISD device.  We have limited devices available and are doing our best to get these devices to our students who truly need them for at-home learning.

Klein ISD COVID-19 Update #14 will be shared by 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 22

Should you have specific questions about anything related to COVID-19 for Klein ISD, for the quickest response and instead of emailing individuals, please use the contact form located at This form is monitored frequently and responses are provided regularly from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. weekdays.
