Klein ISD Named Best Community for Music Education

For the ninth consecutive year, Klein ISD has been named a 2020 Best Communities for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation.
The award program recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of a well-rounded education.
“I’m so proud that our Klein Family has once again been honored with this national recognition,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “I’m especially grateful to our community for showcasing exactly why Klein is such an exceptional community for music education by sharing inspirational musical talent on social media that brings us closer during a time when we must physically distance ourselves from one another.”
To qualify for this designation, districts must complete a 50-page application that examines various data about music education within the district, including programs, funding, and enrollment.
“This is a HUGE honor as it is a national marker of success for our district,” Klein ISD Director of Fine Arts Joel Wren said. “To sustain this year after year is something to be very proud of and I truly feel that this award belongs to the teachers and students.”
