Caring for the Community One Meal at a Time

Caring for the Community One Meal at a Time

Our very own Klein ISD nurses gathered last week to provide meals and snack bags to Klein ISD police officers as a way to say “thank you.”

While our school buildings are closed, our Klein ISD police officers are still patrolling regularly to watch over our schools and community. Klein Forest Nurse Collette Singletary wanted to show appreciation for our local heroes.

“As a nurse, watching the pandemic unfold in the media and hearing stories of healthcare providers on the frontlines, as well as stories of those affected by the virus made me want to get out there and help in any way I can,” she said.

Singletary knew that her fellow Klein ISD nurses would be on board with serving the Klein Family.

“Our Klein ISD Nurses are an awesome, caring bunch,” she said. “The day we handed out the meals was just gorgeous. It really felt great to see all the contributions from the nurses and all the smiles and appreciation from the Klein ISD PD.”

Klein ISD Health Services Coordinator Yvonne Clarke was so proud to see our nurses take time out of their end-of-year duties to serve.

“Klein ISD is more than a school district, we are a family that comes together whenever needed,” Clarke said.  “The Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child Model is the perfect example of how we operate and support one another.”

We love seeing the Klein Family care for one another!
