Klein Cain High School Receives Tommy Tune Award

Klein Cain High School Receives Tommy Tune Award

Klein Cain High School’s production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee received a Tommy Tune Award for Best Orchestra during the first-ever virtual Tommy Tune Awards program last night.

The Tommy Tune Awards, a program of Theatre Under the Stars, recognizes and rewards excellence in the artistry of musical theatre by high school students and their teachers in the greater Houston metropolitan area.

“Seeing the hard work of this team of students, directors, and families be recognized is overwhelming,” Klein Cain Theatre Director Matthew Robinson said. “We teach in the theatre program that all we can do is our best on that day with whatever we are doing.”

We are so proud of everyone who participated in the production of this outstanding musical!  This accomplishment proves once again why Klein ISD is continuously named a Best Community for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation.
