Klein Cain Senior Scholar Spotlight – Kiana Lowery

Klein Cain Senior Scholar Spotlight – Kiana Lowery

Klein Cain Varsity athlete Kiana Lowery will be taking her academic and athletic career to the next level by attending The University of Texas at Austin this fall to study biochemistry and compete on the track and field team.

“Being a Klein ISD student has allowed me to embark on a journey of self-discovery, faith, perseverance, and wisdom,” she said. “My time in this district has allowed me to attain invaluable leadership and collaborative skills that I would not have otherwise.”

Aside from serving as the Varsity Basketball Captain, Kiana also participated in Klein Cain Varsity Track and Field, USATF (Track Houston), B.E.S.T. (Bringing Exceptional Students Together), National Honor Society, and the Principal’s Advisory Council.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science, Kiana plans to continue her educational journey to earn her joint M.D./P.h.D to become a biomedical scientist. She hopes to serve as a role model for female African American students.

“I want to show others who look like me that there are no limitations on who they can be and what they are capable of,” she said.

You will go on to accomplish many incredible things, Kiana, and we are so proud of you!
