Klein ISD Receives Finance Award
We are pleased to announce that The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) has awarded Klein ISD the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE).
ASBO International’s COE recognizes districts that have met the program’s high standards for financial reporting and transparency.
“I’m so proud of the excellence in fiscal management that our finance department continues to demonstrate for our community,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “I’m grateful that their dedication and hard work to our students, staff, and community have been recognized.”
Klein ISD earned the Certificate of Excellence for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year that ended in 2019.
“Our tradition of financial integrity and reporting is the pillar of our continued pursuit of this award,” Klein ISD Chief Financial Officer Dan Schaefer said. “We are proud to go ‘above and beyond’ what is required to expand transparency for our stakeholders, and this award is one indicator of success in this area.”
