‘It’s been a wonderful day’ in Klein ISD
The joy of welcoming back students across the Klein ISD school district could be felt both online and on-campus. Positive energy could be felt in the air as happy faces filled the halls and computer screens with teachers, staff, and students.
“It’s been a wonderful day for our Klein Family as we welcomed students back on campus and online,” Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “We’re so incredibly grateful for the support of our families, staff, and students as we’ve begun this new school year.”
Students haven’t attended class on-campus since March, but the two successful simulations Klein ISD campuses hosted last week truly helped staff and students feel more at ease on this first day of school. Although things may look different from normal operations, one thing was certain, and that is the Klein Family was ready and very excited to welcome students back on-campus and online for an excellent school year.
Mastering technology to provide a quality educational experience for Klein ISD students who are participating in Klein online was a new challenge for many teachers this school year. Teachers shared their challenges of navigating the technology and the process of blending their online and in-person classroom seamlessly.
“Just like any year, there’s always challenges and new things that we go through, so I don’t see this any differently,” Kohrville Elementary Principal Kia Bowie said. “We will work together to overcome these challenges, and we will do what is best for our students.”
Thanks for a successful first day back! Be sure to continue to follow all Klein ISD health and safety guidelines set in place for your child’s campus, so we can stay safe to stay open! Learn more at https://support.kleinisd.net.
