Epps Island Students Receive School Supplies Through Generous Donation
Epps Island Elementary received a large donation of backpacks and school supplies last week thanks to a generous donation sponsored by business partners, Costco and Walmart, located near the school.
Thanks to this donation, every on-campus Epps Island student received a backpack stuffed with supplies that students need for the school year. These backpacks included items such as paper, notebooks, folders, glue, construction paper, pencils, pens, scissors, markers, and more.
For 4 consecutive years, Costco has graciously provided support to aid in the success of students in Klein ISD. Their donation of backpacks towards the Epps Island students this year is so appreciated.
The partnership between Klein ISD and Walmart is an excellent relationship that started with Paloma Mendoza, the manager of the vision center, and Epps Island nurse, Brandy Bowlen.
“It was rewarding to see our student’s faces light up as they received their backpacks and school supplies,” Epps Island nurse Brandy Bowlen said. “This donation is a blessing to our students, and we couldn’t be more appreciative of our local community partners.”
We are extremely grateful for this donation to our students. The Klein ISD community is so fortunate to have the support of these two businesses supporting students in their school success.
