Theiss Elementary Students and Teacher Honored at Board Meeting
Two students and a teacher from Theiss Elementary were honored at the November Board of Trustees meeting for their hard work and success in the classroom.
Lauren Zamora is a true example and model of what high-quality teaching is every day for her students. She always keeps students at the center of the work as she incorporates data and student goal setting to ensure her students own their learning and reach for higher levels.
“She consistently builds strong relationships with her students and families and I am very proud and honored to be working alongside her,” Principal Jessica Taylor said.
Theiss student Colt Williams is an outstanding student because he demonstrates so many Theiss core qualities in the classroom. He constantly thinks outside of the box and works tirelessly as he is never looking for the “easy out” to an answer or solving problems.
“He makes such excellent connections and elevates thinking to a much deeper level. He models a growth mindset and is not afraid to fail forward,” ELA/Social Studies teacher Lindsay Brown said.
Student Isaiah Bender is a goal-oriented problem solver. He is always eager to learn more about concepts and to find new innovative ways to solve problems in the classroom. Isaiah is eager to embrace challenges and he easily collaborates with his peers to help bring their learning up to another level
Congratulations again to Ms. Zamora, Colt, and Isaiah for being shining lights to our Klein Community. You truly encapsulate what it means to go above and beyond.
