Klein ISD Education Foundation Awards $90,090 in Educator Grants

The Klein ISD Education Foundation, community members, and Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown masked-up and climbed aboard the Celebration Express on December 10 and delivered large checks to grant recipients across the district.

The Klein ISD Education Foundation accepts grant applications twice a year to encourage, facilitate, and recognize creative projects that lead to academic achievement for our Klein ISD students.

“It’s always a great way to spend the day as we truly make educators’ dreams come true here in Klein ISD,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “Thank you to the Klein ISD Education Foundation and all of our generous grant sponsors for making today possible.”

This fall, the Celebration Express delivered grants totaling $123,000 that will bring education to life for our learners in a variety of ways. These grants were made possible by the A.K. Buddy Brown Klein ISD Education Foundation Golf Classic and the support of numerous loyal community partners.

“I’m thrilled to participate in my first Celebration Express as the Director of the Klein ISD Education Foundation,” Director Christy Spisak said. “I’m extremely grateful to the Education Foundation Board of Directors for their service to Klein ISD. Our educators go above and beyond to ensure that the needs of EVERY student are met, so it is priceless to see the surprise and excitement on their faces as they learn they can implement these new programs.”
