Vistas High School Program and Klein Success Academy Hold Clap-Out Ceremony for 34 Graduates

With families and friends in attendance, in-person and on Zoom, 34 students were celebrated for completing their Klein ISD educational journey and graduating with a diploma.
Clap-Out is a cherished Vistas High School Program ceremony held to signify the closure of a student’s academic journey in the program.
The room was filled with pride and excitement as students celebrated their success at the first-ever combined Vistas High School Program and Klein Success Academy Clap-Out ceremony.
“We celebrate our Vistas High School and Klein Success Academy graduates and are so proud of the way they have persevered and overcome so many challenges,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “This moment is a true testament to the many pathways available for Klein ISD students to exit with their purpose and successfully pursue the next chapter of their lives.”
Both the Vistas High School Program and Klein Success Academy provide students an opportunity to complete high school with extensive support and guidance from their educators and administration.
“This is a really big day for me because I never thought I could get through school,” Vistas graduate Brittany Le said. “Now, I’m graduating early, and I’m very proud of myself. I’m really happy that Vistas gave me this opportunity.”
Educators in both of these programs are dedicated to building relationships with each of these students so that school becomes a safe place for them to learn and grow.
“Klein Success Academy is focused on the future of our students,” Klein Success Academy Coordinator Shelli Moore said. “We know that this program gives our students a chance to strive for success no matter what obstacles they face.”
Vistas typically hosts at least three Clap-Out ceremonies a year as students complete their degree requirements. After a full year without a single Clap-Out, folks like Vistas High School Program Principal Debbie Pennington were more than ready and ecstatic to celebrate these students and their commendable accomplishments.
“All the staff here at Vistas High School Program and Klein Success Academy could not be more proud of our students for sticking to their goals and staying on course to complete their educational journey in Klein ISD,” Pennington said. “We know that it took a lot of grit and perseverance from our students and support from their families. Congratulations, graduates!”
Grit and perseverance were the day’s themes for these high school graduates, and they look forward to making their way in the world, with the assurance that they have been thoroughly prepared to achieve their purpose.
