Krahn Elementary Students and Teacher Honored at Board Meeting

Two students and a teacher from Krahn Elementary were honored at the January Board of Trustees meeting for their hard work and success in the classroom.

Teacher Kimberly Barto is a true example of quality teaching and servant leadership. She builds positive relationships to support the development of the whole learner.

“As a leader of our 1st-grade team and a leader of our campus Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) team she is always giving guidance and offering solutions,” Krahn Principal Leslie Kompelien said.

Student Mason Harris truly exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated Krahn Cardinal. Mason is a leader in the classroom and is a student that radiates positivity and embodies that “we, not me” attitude.

“We are proud to honor Mason as one of our fantastic 5th graders. He is an example of excellence inside and out of the classroom,” Kompelien said.

Student Jadyn Black also truly displays the heart of a cardinal. She is friendly, kind, and always helps others. She is very in-tune with her own learning, taking ownership of, and pushing herself to be better and better.

Congratulations again to Mrs. Barto, Mason, and Jadyn for being shining lights at Krahn Elementary in our Klein Community. You truly encapsulate what it means to go above and beyond and make us so proud!
