Wunderlich Intermediate Students and Kroger Team Up to Give Back

Earlier this month, Principles of Human Services students at Wunderlich Intermediate assembled nutritious Grab & Go Goodie bags for online and on-campus students.

“We were looking at how students could prepare nutritious snacks and stay safe,” said Dr. Joice Jeffries, PHS teacher.

Half of the Grab & Go Goodie items were generously co-sponsored by Ryan Phan, the community’s local Kroger manager.

“Our purpose is to feed the human spirit,” said Phan, Kroger Manager. “We are thankful to be able to support our local community for this event.”

Students demonstrated their knowledge by preparing nutritious snacks or meals that contribute to wellness and productivity throughout the lifespan.

Before assembling the bags, students reviewed food safety & the Grab & Go Goodie item’s nutrients and then completed an exit ticket to identify nutritious foods’ benefits.

In addition, students were also implementing Wunderlich Intermediate School Core values of practicing mindfulness and radiating school spirit.

Thank you to Kroger for being a wonderful community partner and helping enrich our Klein ISD students’ lives.
