Tom Hargrove Honored as Alumni of the Month by Klein ISD Board

Mr. Tom Hargrove has been recognized as the outstanding Klein ISD Alumnus for April. Board Trustee Georgan Reitmeier nominated Mr. Hargrove for his numerous contributions and selfless service to the Klein Community.

Mr. Hargrove was overwhelmed with gratitude for the nomination and expressed his admiration for being recognized.

Mr. Hargrove is a Klein ISD native and attended Kleb Intermediate before moving on and graduating from Klein High School in 1987. During his time as a Klein ISD student, Mr. Hargrove was active in both football and track and field.

After graduating, Mr. Hargrove started his own landscaping company and worked  in the home building industry with his family. This ultimately introduced him to the business of residential land development. Mr. Hargrove has spent the last 23 years of his career in residential construction, MUD creation, and land development.

In 2012, Mr. Hargrove, along with other members of Faithbridge Church, helped establish Bridging for Tomorrow, a community non-profit development center that provides a bridge to connect neighbors through service and need. Over the years, Bridging for Tomorrow has grown from a group of church volunteers to hundreds of community volunteers caring for our Klein families by reading with school-aged children, helping students with their homework, serving in the food pantry, and sorting through donations. These volunteers make sure parents are equipped to care for their families and that students have what they need to succeed.

Currently, Mr. Hargrove serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Bridging for Tomorrow. His heart and passion for helping others has led him to start a new non-profit called Journey Home, which is a program seeking to help girls “aging out” of the foster care system by providing a home, an education, and an opportunity for life advancement.

“Bridging For Tomorrow has the same goals as Klein ISD – to love and serve our community,” said Mr. Hargrove. “Ultimately, it’s about love, compassion, and the ability to recognize the needs of others.”

When he isn’t serving the Klein community, Mr. Hargrove keeps busy by spending time with his family and playing golf.

Klein ISD is so grateful to have Mr. Hargrove as an excellent example of care, dedication, and service. Thank you for being an outstanding alumnus of Klein ISD!
