
Klein ISD Education Foundation Awards $81,631 in Educator Grants

Foundation directors, community members, and Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown made surprise visits today aboard the Klein ISD Education Foundation Celebration Express, delivering $81,631 in innovative classroom grants.
School staff across the district were over the moon as dozens of Foundation supporters poured out their bedazzled school bus to deliver oversized checks to overjoyed grant recipients.
“Spending time rewarding innovative grants and these wonderful educators with generously donated funds is a great way to spend the day,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “Thank you to the Klein ISD Education Foundation and all of our generous grant sponsors for making today possible. Dreams are coming true today in Klein ISD.”
This spring, the Celebration Express delivered grants for innovative programs that will bring education to life for our learners in various ways. These grants were made possible by the support of numerous loyal community partners.
“Thank you to the Klein ISD Education Foundation Directors, our generous sponsors, and our educators across the district for going above and beyond to create innovative grants to benefit the students in Klein ISD,” said Christy Spisak, KEF Director. “We look forward to seeing how all these innovative grants bloom and grow into programs that positively impact student outcomes and learning.

Klein Collins High School Awarded $1,400 for ‘Save a Tree…Read an eBook’ Grant
Ehrhardt Elementary Awarded $4,546 for Innovative Vlogger Grant
Krahn Elementary Awarded $14,000 for Family Engagement Grant
Blackshear Elementary Awarded $20,800 for Learning Garden Grant
Klenk Elementary Awarded $12,500 for Legacy Headquarters Grant
