Anna Zhou, Klein High Top 10 – Senior Spotlight
Anna Zhou is beyond prepared to enter life after leaving the Bearkats. This Top 10 Senior has proven she has what it takes to excel in life beyond her high school walls.
Anna spent her time participating in many extracurricular activities and won many awards during her high school career. Some of these activities include the University of Houston MODAL Lab, Society of Exploration Geophysicists Machine Learning Competition, ASTA National Music Festival Grand Champion, Disney Music Festival Winner, 1st Place Revolution National Dance Competition, Texas Orchestra Directors Association Presenter, Student Spaceflight Exploration Program, Region Orchestra 3x Qualifier, HOSA Internationals, Qualifier for Klein Hacks, National Merit Commended Scholar, and AP Scholar with Distinction.
Within her extracurriculars Anna served as the Orchestra President and Historian, Science National Honor Society President, Creating Awareness for Problems in Society President & Co-Founder, and Laboratory Activities Based in Science as the Outreach Manager.
In her free time, Anna lends her volunteer efforts to Klein Music4Motion, Children’s Association for Maximum Potential, Karatutoring, Klein 5th Grade Strings, and as a Teacher’s Assistant.
“I’m beyond grateful for the friends, teachers, and mentors that I have met throughout my years in Klein ISD who have inspired me to always work hard for my dreams and pursue perfection in everything I do,” said Anna Zhou.
After graduation, Anna plans to major in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania.
