Klein ISD FFA Students Victorious at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
While the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo may have looked a little different this year, Klein ISD FFA students still gave it their all in the competition and took home several awards.
Klein Collins students Sean O’Neill and Joshua Garza both placed in the Horticulture Photography Contest. Garza’s piece entitled ‘Size doesn’t matter, it’s the fun that does!’ placed 3rd, and Sean O’Neill’s ‘Woven through Time’ placed 2nd. Both students were rewarded with a trophy and prize money.
“The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Horticulture Photo Competition allows for these students to shine,” said Chad Hardin, Klein Collins Art Photography Teacher. “I am proud of their willingness to participate and thankful that they can share their passion with the public and have the opportunity to be rewarded for it.”
Other winners include Ashley Johnson of Klein Cain High School, who placed 1st in the Scramble Heifers competition, and the Klein Collins Poultry CDE team, who took home 4th place in their respective contest. The outstanding Poultry CDE team consists of students Benjamin Williams, Ryan Trautwein, Maycee Foussadier, and Airelle Arechiga.
Congratulations to all of these amazing students for your hard work. Your Klein Family is proud of your outstanding accomplishments.
