Samantha Dao, Klein Collins High Top 10 – Senior Spotlight
Samantha Dao is a great example of what it means to be a Klein Collins Tiger. This Top 10 Scholar has truly shined throughout her educational journey.
Samantha was involved in many school organizations and extracurricular activities during her time in high school. She lent her talents to Klein Collins’ Chamber Orchestra, Legacy League, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Latin Honor Society, HOSA, and more!
During her time in Orchestra, Samantha was proud to serve as the Sophomore Representative, Vice President, and President. In Mu Alpha Theta, she held office as the Historian, Secretary, and President. In the National Honor Society, she was the Vice President. The National Science Honor Society saw her as the Historian.
Samantha has also gained many achievements and awards throughout her high school career. These include being recognized as an Outstanding Member of Legacy League for three years in a row, Legacy League Purple Heart Award, National Merit Commended Scholar, National Latin Exam, Beginning Gold Medalist, and Latin Literature Area Level 1 First Place.
Samantha loves serving her community and does so through Northwest Assistance Ministries, Meals on Wheels, Paradise Springs Senior Living, iGoPink Breast Cancer Charities of America, and Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts. She also lends her talents as a Private Cello Instructor and as a Mathnasium Instructor.
“Being a part of the Klein family for the past fifteen years has been a tremendous honor. The resources I have been provided allowed me to gain a well-rounded education while simultaneously preparing me for adulthood,” said Samantha. “I cannot express enough gratitude towards the teachers, friends, and staff who have supported me!”
After graduating, Samantha plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin and major in Computer Science.
