Linh Nguyen, Klein Collins High Top 10 – Senior Spotlight

Linh Nguyen is one Klein Collins Tiger that is set up for success after high school! This top 10 senior has excelled in academics and service and is ready to reach greater heights in her future.

Linh enjoys devoting her time to Klein Collins and its many student organizations. She is active in Latin Club, National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Korean Club, Philosophy Club, Environmental Club, and Mu Alpha Theta.

Her position within these organizations include serving as the Latin Club’s 2-term President, Texas State Junior Classical League Area Co-chair, Korean Culture Club President, National Honor Society Treasurer, Science National Honor Society Secretary, and the Philosophy Club Secretary.

Linh has received many awards for her academics and student-service. Some of these include Latin Club/KC JCL: 4-time Area Certamen medalist, 2-time Academic Testing Highest Score, Arts placer, Texas State Junior Classical League: 3-time State Certamen Qualifier, 2-time Certamen medalist, Academic Testing and Arts placer, National Junior Classical League: 2-time National Certamen Qualifier, 3-time National Latin Exam Gold medalist, and National Classics Testing medalist.

Outside of the classroom Linh volunteers with Our Lady of Lourdes Saint Therese Youth Choir, Parish Lunar New Year, Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement Hope Bag for the Homeless, Houston Food Bank, La San School for the Vietnamese Hurricane Harvey Clean-up, Christ the Good Shepherd Fall Festival, Phoenix Pub Annual Cook-Off, Barbara Bush Public Library Annual Summer Volunteer, Grace Care Nursing Home Performer and Volunteer, and more!

“I’ve been a part of Klein ISD since Kindergarten, and have come a long way from being an elementary school toddler who refused to leave her parents to a high school senior who is well-prepared and eager to take on life beyond high school,” said Linh Nguyen. “I’ve been provided with extraordinary educators who’ve helped me realize my potential, a wide selection of vigorous courses that never ceased to stretch my academic boundaries and thirst for learning, and countless memories and friendships that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.” 

After graduation Linh plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin to major in Environmental Science and Sustainability on a Geoscience route. She also plans to study Psychology. 

Linh’s dedication to service, leadership, and education is a definite reflection on what her future will look like. We are so proud of her and are ready to call her a Promise2Purpose success!
