Karissa Beauchemin, Klein Collins High Top 10 – Senior Spotlight
Karissa Beauchemin is a Klein Collins Top 10 Senior who is ready for anything life throws at her. This well-rounded student has excelled both academically and in her extracurriculars and is ready to exit Klein ISD with her purpose.
Karissa was an active member of Klein Collins’ National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Varsity Swim Team, and National Art Honor Society. She was happy to serve her fellow Tigers as Varsity Swim Team Captain and National Art Honor Society as Historian.
Some of her awards include recognition as a Scholastic Art Awards 3-time Gold and Silver Key winner, Visual Arts Scholastic Event 2-time State Qualifier, and Swim Regional Finalist.
Karissa frequently gives of her free time to the Houston Food Bank and was active in Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. She also helps out at Candlelight Hills’ children’s swim lessons.
After completing her time at Klein Collins, Karissa will be moving on to Texas A&M University and plans to pursue a major in Molecular and Cell Biology. She looks forward to a career in medical research.
