5 Klein ISD Schools Receive 2021 Promising Practices Distinction

5 Klein ISD Schools Receive 2021 Promising Practices Distinction

Bernshausen Elementary, Eiland Elementary, Epps Island Elementary, Strack Intermediate, and Ulrich Intermediate were recently named Promising Practices schools by Character.org.

This special distinction consists of schools who are a significant example of effective character development and aligned with one or more of Character.org’s 11 Principles framework.

This year’s character development practices and initiatives included peer mentoring, service-learning, and conflict resolution approaches.

These remarkable Klein ISD campuses each submitted an application for this distinction describing at least one unique Promising Practice they successfully implement on their campus. These beloved Klein ISD schools are 5 of 170 schools across the nation to receive this honor.

Character.org is a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. Their mission is to provide the voice, visibility, and resources for educators to build nurturing and supportive school cultures that focus on core values and character strengths vital to student and school success.

“We are extremely proud to recognize the schools and organizations that have developed and implemented a Promising Practice” said Dr. Arthur Schwartz, President of Character.org. “Each of these programs and initiatives have demonstrated significant impact and strongly align with the principles that help schools and organizations cultivate a culture of character.”

Character.org will honor each 2021 Promising Practice recipient at its National Forum to be held October 20-22, 2021.

Congratulations to Bernshausen Elementary, Eiland Elementary, Epps Island Elementary, Strack Intermediate, and Ulrich Intermediate! Each of your campuses are an excellent example to the entire Klein community and are more than deserving of this honor.
