Back-to-School Balance: Mental Health Matters

Back-to-School Balance: Mental Health Matters

With an amazing 2021-2022 school year just around the corner, we want to make sure that all of our families are prepared. However, preparation isn’t just purchasing a first-day outfit and buying school supplies. Those things are great, but we also want to equip you with tools to help check in on your mental health and wellness.

To be thoroughly prepared for the first week of school, be sure to check out some great mental health resources on our KISD website linked below:

We are blessed in Klein ISD to have counselors on each of our campuses. Counselors are ready to give not only educational support but social-emotional support as well. The counselors’ scope includes information-giving, individual and group counseling, parent consultations, and referrals to outside agencies. Parents are encouraged to call the counselor for information or assistance on any matter concerning a student.

In addition, the Klein ISD KeepKleinSafe site allows individuals to request mental, emotional, and other support.

If you or your loved one needs support, reach out to an adult on your campus, your campus counselor, or click the Need Support site above. Don’t be afraid to let your friends, family, or teachers know what you need when they ask; they want to help.
