Teacher Feature: Jazmin Flores, Brill Elementary

Brill Elementary Kindergarten Dual Language teacher Jazmin Flores uses her own experiences growing up to shape her littlest learners into confident, biliterate, and empowered students of our Klein Family.

“As a teacher teaching dual language, I work hard to support my students as they balance two cultures and learn two languages,” said Flores.

Ms. Flores’ connection with her students goes beyond sharing a rich language learning experience. Through this advanced elementary pathway, Ms. Flores is helping to increase the level of cognitive development and critical thinking of her young learners, while advancing their level of academic achievement

“After tutoring elementary students for community service, I realized that kids have so much potential,” said Flores. “They just need someone to believe in them and make them feel worthy, and that’s what I want to do as a Klein ISD teacher. I am here to make them feel safe and validate who they are, no matter where they come from. I hope, most of all, to pass onto my students a true sense of self-worth.”

We are so grateful for Ms. Flores’ heart for kids. Learn more about our advanced elementary Dual Language Pathway at
