KLC Holds First Meeting of the 2021-22 School Year
Nearly 200 community leaders, parents, family members, teachers, principals, business owners, realtors, members of the clergy, Board members, and district leadership joined together for the first meeting of the Klein Leadership Coalition (KLC).
The KLC’s mission is to LEARN how Klein ISD is working to fulfill its promise to our students, SHARE key information about district happenings and legislative action with your neighbors so that we’re all well-informed, and COMMUNICATE how having an excellent public school district keeps Klein a great place to live, learn, and work.
Today members celebrated the outstanding students, teachers, and families that we have in our Klein Family, learned of ways to engage in legislative happenings pertaining to Texas public schools, and the importance of voting.
“I loved being back with this amazing group of stakeholders who commit their time and talent to our students, our schools, and our community,” said Dr. Jenny McGown, Klein ISD Superintendent. “It takes our collective voice and effort to ensure that all of our students in Klein ISD continue to have access to an excellent education.”
Things you can do now:
- Register to vote by October 4.
- Utilize the website Texas Educators Vote website to become an informed voter.
- Check your county votes site for all local elections.
- Write a thank you note to a legislator.
