Teacher Feature: Lauren Reinhardt, Hildebrandt Intermediate

Hildebrandt Intermediate 6th grade ELA teacher and Cross Country Coach Lauren Reinhardt strives to make her classroom a ‘’home away from home” for her students.

Reinhardt understands the importance of creating a welcoming and safe learning environment for students. Her classroom is awash with soft lighting and coffee shop jazz music.

Reinhardt’s passion for education lies beyond only creating welcoming classroom decor. This beloved teacher always makes sure to keep her “why” at the forefront of every school day.

“Teaching can be tough, but it’s also rewarding,” said Reinhardt. “Teachers are entrusted with someone’s child. It’s something I don’t take lightly.”

Reinhardt has several years of teaching experience but is in her second year of teaching at Hildebrandt Intermediate and is thoroughly enjoying it. As a result of the support given to her by fellow staff members and administration, this dynamic educator is able to do her job efficiently while living her passion.

“My favorite part of teaching 6th grade is the opportunity to see my students grow, not only academically but socially,” said Reinhardt. “The evolution they go through is really fun to watch, and witnessing them learn how to be independent and to advocate for themselves is incredibly rewarding.”

Reinhardt said she initially did not know she wanted to be a teacher, but her mother was convinced she’d still enter the profession. During her time at university, Reinhardt attended a school known for its prestigious education program but did not major in the field of study. After graduation, Reinhardt initially felt she had no path, but her lightbulb moment finally arrived, and she quickly found her passion lay in education after all.

We’re so glad Lauren found her passion as an educator! We know Hildebrandt Intermediate, and our #KleinFamily community would not be the same without her.
