Fall 2021 Innovation Challenge – Klein Creates
Are you ready to create the next big idea? Get your team together for the next Klein ISD Innovation Challenge – Klein Creates!
What Problem Would You Like To Solve? What Product Can You Create as a Solution?
Step 1: Form your Team and Team Sponsor
Any Klein ISD student, grades K-12 are eligible to participate in the innovation challenge. Team Sponsors (a Klein ISD Staff Member) will register students between October 25 – November 5. Sign up by clicking HERE or visiting kisd.us/signupinnovation.
Students will participate in teams of 2 to 5 members for Klein Creates Innovation Challenge. Teams are not limited to grade-level specific. Multi-Age teams are welcome!
Step 2: Start The Launch Cycle
Students will learn about The Launch Cycle by John Spencer and use it to:
- Define a problem
- Think of a solution
- Create a prototype using new skills
- Submit a video and Google slide deck presentation for their idea.
Students will use the Klein Creates Launch Guide template to record all of their ideas, questions, research, and results of the project.
Step 3: Attend Day of Design
The Day of Design will be held on December 6 at the Klein Multipurpose Center. You and your team will get to meet and collaborate with community partners about your product and pitch!
Step 4: Submit your Design
Final Designs are due by 5 pm on January 21, 2022.
