Winter Klein Success Academy, Vistas High School Graduates Celebrated at Ceremony

Thirty-four Klein ISD students celebrated completing their Klein ISD educational journey at a Clap Out ceremony with families and friends in attendance.

Families, educators, and leaders from Klein ISD gathered as students celebrated their success at the combined Vistas High School Program and Klein Success Academy Clap Out ceremony.

“I’m so inspired by the resilience and spirit of these Klein ISD students; they truly embody what it means to never give up,” Klein ISD Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “Our students are able to accomplish their goals because of their own determination coupled with the care and commitment of our passionate educators and leaders at both Vistas and Klein Success Academy. I am so excited to see these graduates go on to accomplish great things in our community and beyond!”

Students in both of these programs benefit from smaller class sizes and the extra attention from their teachers.

“Vistas has helped me become a leader and responsible young woman who really values her education,” Vistas High School graduate Perla Franco Velez said in an address to her fellow graduates. “They helped me by giving me that one-on-one education I really needed to succeed. I’m so excited to be here today, graduating half a year early.”

Educators in both of these programs are dedicated to building relationships with each of these students so that school becomes a safe place for them to learn and grow.

“I have to give credit to the incredible teachers who have given so much to each and every student here at Vistas and Klein Success Academy,” Vistas Principal Debbie Pennington said. “Our students have worked so hard to reach this milestone, and I know that the love and support in our classrooms helped facilitate this huge accomplishment.”

The ceremony ended with the students being embraced and lifted up for accomplishing things they never thought they could before. These high school graduates have truly shown grit and determination, and our Klein Family is very proud of them. Way to go, grads!
